Tesco Community Grants
Tesco Community Grants is always open for applications from charities and community organisations to bid for up to £1,500. Three projects in 575 local communities are voted on by customers in Tesco stores throughout the UK, with projects changing every three months.
They support local good causes that focus on helping children and families.
Examples are:

• a local school needing food for a children’s breakfast club 
• a voluntary organisation working with families to run holiday clubs
• a charity supporting young people with specialist advice to manage mental health
• a brownie or scout group needing new tents
• a youth sports club needing new equipment

Inspiring Aberdeenshire
Inspiring Aberdeenshire is one of Aberdeenshire Council’s biggest annual events. The awards celebrate the achievements and successes of our people across Aberdeenshire who go the extra mile for their communities, often with little or no other official recognition.

Meikle Carewe Wind Farm Community Fund
The Meikle Carewe Wind Farm Community Fund is open until 30th September 2021.
Applications to the fund can be made from not-for-profit groups and organisations, based in the following Community Council areas:

• Crathes, Drumoak and Durris
• Newtonhill, Muchalls and Cammachmore
• North Kincardine Rural
• Portlethen and District
• Stonehaven and District

Aberdeenshire Council Community Resilience Fund
The Aberdeenshire Community Resilience Fund is for community or resilience groups seeking funding to support people in the community who are staying at home, self-isolating, vulnerable, and unable to access basic necessities such as food and medicines, as a result of the restrictions due to COVID-19.  
If the group applying is not constituted, they should affiliate with an existing constituted group, for example, a community council.

Community and Renewables Energy Scheme
The latest round of funding from the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewables Energy Scheme (CARES) is now open.
Grant funding, advice, and support are available to community organisations, charitable organisations and faith groups that want to decarbonise their community buildings by installing low carbon or renewable energy systems, such as heat pumps or solar panels.

Scotland Loves Local Fund
The Scottish Government Scotland Loves Local Fund aims to empower communities by enabling local delivery and giving support and guidance to help them achieve aims important to them.
The fund will support eligible groups to develop projects to build the wealth of our local communities, revitalise our local places, town centres, or 20 minute neighbourhoods; increasing footfall and activity. This will be by encouraging communities to ‘think, choose and love local’, improving, supporting, and promoting local places, and communities.

Cycling UK – Shift
Do you want to help more people in your community to cycle for short everyday journeys? Shift is here to help.
They will provide funding and expert support to run activities that will help people jump on a bike, instead of into their car.
From cycle training and confidence boosting sessions to cargo bike trials for local businesses, they will help your ideas flourish.
Their knowledgeable team of local development officers will be there to support you every step of the way, with access to training, networking and expert advice.
Apply today for a grant of between £400-800.
 
Action Earth 2021
Volunteering Matters Action Earth is offering grants to help local communities to respond to climate change. Funded by NatureScot, these grants support volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities in practical outdoor activities. Any group of volunteers are able to apply for Volunteering Matters Action Earth grants of between £50-250 to run environmental activities in Scotland’s green spaces.  
A limited number of Action Earth Enhanced Grants up to £500 for projects are also available.

Fast Track – Connecting Scotland
Connecting Scotland is a Scottish Government programme set up to tackle digital exclusion during the coronavirus crisis. It is delivered with the support of local councils, SCVO and a wide range of organisations from across Scotland and the UK. Previous application rounds have targeted those at high clinical risk from coronavirus, families with children, young care leavers, older people and disabled people.
They are now inviting ‘fast track’ applications from organisations working with people at risk of social isolation and loneliness. If you apply through this process you are committing to distribute devices and provide basic monitoring information within 14 days of receipt. This means you should already know who you plan to support prior to applying.
You have until 5pm on Friday 6 August to apply. More info about this here.
 
Community Grant
Scotmid’s Community Grant scheme helps deserving causes across Scotland. Since 2012, they have supported hundreds of projects which have touched the lives of people living in the communities they serve.
The maximum amount available for a Community Grant is £500.

Scottish Third Sector Tracker
SCVO has partnered with a range of stakeholders to build a Scotland-focused third sector research community called the Scottish Third Sector Tracker.
They are looking for 800 representatives from third sector organisations based across Scotland who are willing to share their experiences, views, and concerns, as the sector emerges from the pandemic.
The information gathered will inform and direct the way SCVO, and many other organisations, including the Scottish Government, provide support to third sector organisations in the coming years.
The findings will also be used to produce regular reports and insights that will be shared widely across Scotland’s third sector to help policy makers and funders shape their own policies and support for the sector.
This community will allow Scottish third sector organisations the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile survey that will reach decision makers across the country.
An independent research company, DJS Research, is managing the Scottish Third Sector Tracker, which will run for 18 months.

The Volant Charitable Trust – COVID-19 Response Fund
The Volant Trust accepts applications from charities that demonstrate a strong focus on alleviating social deprivation and helping vulnerable groups who have been particularly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Applications for medical equipment and the production or distribution of PPE will also be considered.

It’s important you make your decision about getting the COVID-19 vaccine based on reliable information. These Vaccine Explainer Videos provide key facts about the COVID-19 vaccines for those who may be hesitant to get the vaccine when offered, or for those more likely to have been exposed to myths/misinformation. There are full-length versions of the video as well as short cut-down versions that address specific topics.

Developed by the Scottish Recovery Network the Run your own Recovery Conversation Café toolkit provides a guide and resources to help you engage people in meaningful discussions about what is important to them and their communities.
Providing a different approach to engagement, a recovery conversation café moves away from traditional consultation. It creates a welcoming environment where people are not just passive responders but active participants, listening to each other and building on ideas. Using the approach organisations and services are providing the opportunity for people to participate in:

• The design, delivery and evaluation of support
• Influencing local and national planning and strategies
• Events that bring people together to connect and share ideas on mental health and wellbeing
