Discretionary Business Fund

The Discretionary Business Fund Phase Two is open to businesses that have not received financial support since October 2020 and can evidence a 30% reduction in sales owing to the impact of Coronavirus. 

Eligibility has been extended to include two groups of businesses that have previously been excluded:

  • Businesses with between 50 and 250 employees.
  • New start businesses established after March 2020 and before 2nd November 2020

Road Closure U63K Kirkton of Maryculter

BT Openreach are carrying out work to replace poles in the verge on the U63K Kirkton of Maryculter, at the junction at Millbank to Cemetery. The road will be closed for three days commencing Monday 24th May 2021, between 9.30am – 3.30pm. 

Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative route via U63K – C5K – Stranog Junction with U62K – U62K – B979 – U63K vice versa.

EMERGENCY AND PEDESTRIAN ACCESS TO BE MAINTAINED. VEHICULAR ACCESS TO AFFECTED PROPERTIES TO BE MAINTAINED WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

Summer Surface Dressing Programme for K&M

Aberdeenshire Council’s Roads Service has set out its surface dressing programme for this summer on various roads in Kincardine and Mearns from 24 May to 30 August.
 
This is a rolling programme of work at a number of sites. It is not possible to provide exact dates for each site. Restrictions – ranging from 10mph convoy working to 20mph limits during post application aftercare and lining and studding works – will only be in force when signs are in place.
 
Emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained. Vehicular access to affected properties will be maintained whenever possible. There will be no access for school transport whilst the closures are in place.

Community Council Report

This report covers progress Police Scotland have made in dealing with your priorities for the Kincardine and Mearns Community Council area for the period 1 to 30 April 2021.

The report aims to highlight emerging issues in our area, provide crime prevention advice and guidance to Community Council members and the residents we represent. The focus is to reduce crime and disorder, help create safer communities and respond effectively to local concerns.
