It was very busy in the KDP office last week, so apologies that we didn’t get out a Bulletin. To make up for it, we are going to have two this week. There is just so much information to share with you at the moment. So, let’s get started….
*** TOMORROW – Mearns & Coastal Volunteer Fair – Inverbervie ***
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and help to make your community a great place to be. Volunteering can also help your wellbeing.
If you know anyone who may be interested, please tell them to come along to the K&M Volunteer Fair tomorrow, Tuesday 12th November at Inverbervie Church Hall. The sessions will run from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 5.30pm to 7pm.
Opportunities include: caring; befriending; heritage; tourism; gardening; driving; support and advice and much more.
Future Routes Fund
Do you have an idea which would help young people to connect with nature and make a positive impact on the natural environment in Scotland?
Scottish Natural Heritage, ReRoute and Young Scot are excited to announce funding that is open for applications from groups and individuals aged 11 – 26 from across Scotland.
The purpose of the fund is to help young people to connect with nature and make a positive impact on Scotland’s natural environment and landscapes. The criteria for ideas is wide open. They could range from short films or theatre performances to art exhibitions, conservation projects, discussion days or nature trails.
An individual can apply for £500 to £2000 and a team (2+) can apply for £1000 to £5000.

Walking Sports Christmas Fair
This event will be held on Sunday 8th December, 2pm – 4pm, at Stonehaven Leisure Centre giving the opportunity to try a new activity.
“It’s sport, but at a walking pace!”
All activities are delivered in a safe and fun environment that is inviting and gives a fitness boosting experience with slower versions of the games that are easy to learn.

The Access Survey 2019
The longest running UK Access Survey is back. The #AccessSurvey gives an annual insight into what disabled people think of access provision in public places and spaces. The question is, what’s changed one year on?
It is open to disabled people, their family and friends as well as individuals who work closely with disabled people such as carers or healthcare professionals.
