Foyle Foundation
The Foyle Foundation has re-opened its Small Grants Scheme to support smaller, grass-roots and local charities across the UK during the Covid-19 crisis.
Organisations which are currently delivering services to the young, vulnerable, elderly, disadvantaged or the general community either directly or through online support can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £10,000.
Funding can be used to cover core costs or essential equipment, to enable ongoing service provision, homeworking, or delivery of online digital services for charities with a turnover of less than £150,000 per annum that can show financial stability and a clear need for their services.

Aberdeenshire Town Centre Toolkit
There is a Webinar taking place on the 3rd March to launch the Aberdeenshire Town Centre Toolkit.
The aim of this webinar is to bring together key speakers from a national level to a local level to give community groups and organisations ideas and inspiration on how to ensure their town or group have the right tools, skills, and knowledge in place to make goals and visions a reality.
There will be a couple of exemplar community initiatives and get advice from the Scottish Civic Trust on how community groups can get their project from an idea to a shovel ready project.

Matthew Good Foundation
The Matthew Good Foundation has launched a new fund for small charities and social enterprises. Every three months, five organisations will share a £10,000 pot.
The fund is open to brand new projects with innovative ideas as well as established charities whose average income is less than £50,000 per year.
The first round of applications is open until Monday the 15th of March.

Community Grants of up to £500 are available all year round.

Developing Aberdeenshire Equalities Outcomes 2021-2025
Aberdeenshire Council is in the process of developing new equality aims for 2021-25, focusing on ‘protected characteristics’ which can apply to all of us, for example age, sex, race, disability, religion, and sexual orientation. Developing equality aims is something that local authorities are required to do.
An important step in this process is getting the views of Aberdeenshire residents and identifying what areas they need to focus on improving people’s life opportunities. The pandemic has had a significant impact on all of our lives, and this will need to be considered in their planning to ensure they support those who need it most. They also need to report on their progress in making improvements since 2019.
It would be appreciated if you could take a few minutes to complete their survey and give your views.
The survey is open until 14th March.

Home Heating Support Fund
The Scottish Government has launched a new fund to support energy customers who are suffering financial hardship due to COVID-19. Administered by Advice Direct Scotland, the Home Heating Support Fund has been established because no household should live in fuel poverty or ration fuel to get by.
Organisations who provide energy advice and/or approved money advice can apply on behalf of the individuals they support. Find out more about the application process via the website where you can register as a referral partner.
The fund is available until 31 March 2021 with payments beginning on 22 February 2021.
The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland
The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland is hosting a webinar for organisations working in Scotland to find out:
- Who can apply for their funding
- What kind of thing can their funding be used for
- Hints and tips for getting funding
- How to check if your idea could be funded, and start applying
The sessions take place on 3 March and 11 March 2021.
