Please find attached some valuable advice from my colleague at Police Scotland, PC Mike Urquhart, Crime Reduction Officer, about their annual After Dark campaign which starts today. The campaign focusses on domestic security as we go into the darker evenings. This period has historically proven to be a time when the number domestic housebreakings and attempted housebreakings rise.
As a former Crime Reduction Officer myself, I wholeheartedly endorse the campaign. I ask that you consider the contents of the attachment as a catalyst for you to review your own domestic security, with the aim of reducing the likelihood that you become a victim of such a crime. Simple improvements can make substantial differences.
