Aberdeenshire Community Food Fund
The Aberdeenshire Community Food Fund is for community or resilience groups seeking funding to tackle food security in Aberdeenshire Communities. The following types of groups can apply:
- Constituted community groups
- Registered charities
- Partnerships involving community organisations with a constituted group as a lead partner
The maximum project grant is £2000.

Dignity and the Right to Food
This workshop from Nourish and the Poverty Truth Community, looks at how dignity, the human right to food and a food systems framework, can support sustainable solutions to food insecurity.

Inclusive Innovation Programme
Working collaboratively, CEIS and Interface have launched the Inclusive Innovation programme to make good ideas that do good a reality in the social enterprise and enterprising Third Sectors in Scotland.
The programme is designed to raise awareness of available opportunities for enterprises or individuals with innovative solutions for growth, sustainability or to address social and environmental problems within Scotland, and beyond.
Through a series of free online events, they will demonstrate how enterprises across diverse sectors have grown their ideas to fruition and the positive impact this has had on business and planet.

GSK IMPACT Awards
The GSK IMPACT Awards provide funding, training and development for charities doing work to improve people’s health and wellbeing. They are open to registered charities that are at least three years old, and working in a health-related field in the UK.
The deadline for applications is 5.00pm on Monday 20 September 2021.

Bringing Communities Back Together Grant
The second phase of this funding from the Asda Foundation, which is targeted at reuniting communities and supporting groups as they resume their activities in person again, launches this month. There are three options available to apply for: a celebration event; getting activities back on track; or a combination of both

Food Standards Scotland Covid-19 Guidance
Food Standards Scotland (FSS) has updated its Covid-19 guidance (9 August) for food businesses and their employees that informs on current advice surrounding Covid-19.

The Promise Partnership
The Promise Partnership is an investment of £4m from Scottish Government intended to deliver change in line with Scotland’s commitment to creating capacity in the ‘care system to #KeepThePromise and provide holistic family support.
This funding strand aims to offer investment that will help ensure we can maintain natural connections between children, young people, and families. Collaborations must focus on how their plan will contribute to Brothers and Sisters within the Change Programme, specifically:
- Scotland will stop the practice of separating brothers and sisters, unless for reasons of safety
- Relationships between brothers and sisters will be cherished and protected across decision making and through the culture and values of the people who care for them.

Bank of Scotland – REACH
The Reach programme is suitable for charities who can demonstrate they address disadvantage or social exclusion and will reach the most vulnerable people across Scotland, to provide them with opportunity and equality and making positive, sustainable change.
For disadvantage, examples include charities addressing primary disadvantage such as homelessness, abuse, mental health or poverty, or secondary disadvantage such as debt issues, learning disabilities, illiteracy, lack of employability skills or health issues.
For social exclusion, examples include charities addressing exclusionary challenges for minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT people, drug users, institutional care leavers, the elderly or the young.
The next deadline is 24th September.
