The North Kincardine Rural Community Council meet at 7.30pm, on Monday 16th May 2016, at Lairhillock school, Netherley.
At this months meeting we welcome the AWPR Managing Agent John Wilson along with the Construction Joint Venture team of Graham Christie – Project Director, Rob Galbraith – Project Deputy Director, Dave Taylor – Operations Manager South and Gavin Dyet – Transport Scotland, to update the meeting on construction progress for the Southern leg section from Milltimber Brae to Charleston and the Fastlink section from Cleanhill to Stonehaven.
The community council will also ask about issues which have affected the community and discuss upcoming important events, such as additional carriageway works and bridge constructions on the A90 at Charleston and Stonehaven plus the River Dee crossing. These activities are all planned for this summer and will have a major impact on our area.
Aberdeenshire Council’s Director of Infrastructure Services, Stephen Archer is also attending along with his Roads Officer Bob Gray and it is hoped they will clarify as to the responsibilities between the AWPR CJV and council as to issues of local road maintenance, diversions and general topics where the council oversee noise, pollution and environmental problems other than watercourses which are SEPA’s responsibility. SEPA have been invited and we await their confirmation of attendance.
This meeting is an important event and rare occasion to have the key players publicly discuss the AWPR construction. This is a public meeting and all are welcome.
